Iran’s Foreign Trade Surpasses $65 Billion

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The value of Iran’s foreign trade in the year that ends on March 20 has reached close to $65.5 billion, an official said.

Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said at a conference on Wednesday that the value of the country’s foreign trade so far in the Iranian year 1399 (March 2020- March 2021) has stood at around $65.5 billion despite all sanctions, banking problems and transportation difficulties.

The figures show that the value of Iran’s exports and imports have decreased by 19% and 15%, respectively, compared to the previous year, Hamid Zadboom noted.

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran had announced in January that Tehran has adopted such plans that domestic production and foreign trade would not be harmed even if the sanctions are kept in place.
