World Trade Day: (Globalization Day)
Because of importance of presence of Iran in the World field and somehow being in the way of globalization, and because of importance of world trade and the globalization trend of Iran’s economics, unfortunately for such an importance fact, in some days we observe a number of economic experts and governmental authorities only sometimes speak about these issues and there is no specific plan behind their speeches and it can be said that everything they say is mere speech and there is no act!! Sometimes states in order to gain popularity and advertise for their interest, remind to join World Trade Organization (WTO) and give some promises to people in this regard that all would be forgotten after a while. However, never have high governmental authorities and brilliant economic active parties of private sector gathered for some hours to speak about the important issue of the World Trade and the trend of globalization of Iran’s economy, and provide their strategies and appreciate institutes and companies which have taken great and effective steps towards globalization. This behavior only results in two inferences: This issue has not been of any importance for governments, or it has been of importance but because of their large volume of work, no background has been provided for such gathering.
Since we have perceived lack of such gathering between government and economic active parties from several years ago, by consulting with friends and elite individuals in the government and private sector, it is agreed to allocate a day for such issue and propose this date to president of the 11th government, Mr. Rohani, so that by his agreement, this important day be entered into national calendar of Iran. Accordingly, upon decisions made in this regard, it is agreed that the day of membership of Iran in the World Trade Center Association (WTCA) and the day that Iran’s World Trade Center became official in the world, be determined as globalization day and the world trade day.

Iran’s World Trade Center began its activity in 1990 in Iran and on May,25,1996 officially member in World Trade Center Association (WTCA) which its department is located in New York, and since that date was recognized as one of the 326 official centers of the world. Hence, it was decided that it was agreed that on May,25 of every year, there would be celebration with the title of World Trade Day (Globalization Day) by presence of governmental and private sector authorities and various programs be performed to celebrate this historical day. In this line, on May, 25, 2016, the first celebration of the World Trade Day (Globalization Day) will be held in Tehran.
Therefore, by using this opportunity I request all statesmen, economic organizations, elite economists, friends and media, that by supporting and cooperating with us, help us in this difficult way so that on May,25,2016 we hold a magnificent celebration with the title of the World Trade Day (Globalization Day) in Tehran.
